Options for ConnectWise Project Boards

This is a reference for the options unique to this type of board. For a description of options common to all types of boards, see Fields for Kanban Boards.

General

Card fields

  • Type: controls if the project's type is shown on cards
  • Company: controls if the project's company is shown on cards
  • Percentage complete: controls if the completed percentage of a project is shown on cards
  • Actual start and end: controls if the start and end dates of a project is shown on cards
  • Estimated start and end: controls if the estimated start and end dates hours of a project is shown on cards
  • Status detail: controls if the status detail field is shown on the cards
  • Ticket board: Use this to quickly drill into a project to see the details of its tickets. Select a ticket board that shows project tickets (typically with no swimlane, or with member or phase swimlanes). Then on project cards, a magnifying glass link is shown that opens the selected ticket board filtered to show only the tickets from that project.

Metrics

  • Hours sum: shows sum of both budget and actual logged hours
  • Hours average: shows average of both budget and actually logged hours
  • Scheduled hours

Filters

The fields you can filter by are:

  • ConnectWise boards
  • Companies
  • Managers
  • Type
  • Show projects with no type: control if projects without a type will appear on the board when the type filter is used. If you want to show certain types of projects, and also show projects with no type, then select this option.

Columns

In addition to options common to all board types, these options are available:

  • Est. Start warning: When the estimated start of a project is in the future and closer than the threshold, the estimated start and end row appears in orange on the card. If this warning is set the row will be in red when the estimated start is in the past.
  • Est. End warning: When the estimated end of a project is in the future and closer than the threshold, the estimated start and end row appears in orange on the card. If this warning is set the row will be in red when the estimated end is in the past.
  • Hours: controls if actual and budget hours information is displayed on cards
  • Budget warning: For cards with both actual hours and budget hours, and exceeding the threshold (but less than 100% used), warning message is shown.
