What is the "waiting" column used for?

The "waiting" column on a Kanban board is used to track tickets or tasks that are waiting for someone outside of the team to take the next step.

These are tickets that are dependent on external factors, such as waiting for a response from a customer, waiting for approval from a manager, or waiting for a third-party vendor to provide information or complete a task. The "waiting" column is used to indicate that the team has done their part and is waiting for external input or action before they can proceed with the ticket or task. This column helps to identify any bottlenecks or delays caused by external dependencies and allows the team to easily see which tickets are waiting for outside input. Once the external input is received, the ticket can be moved to the appropriate column to indicate that it is ready for further action.
